Telephone Triage

The practice has recently extended its telephone triage service to enable quick and increased patient access. Under the new service, the practice aims to quickly direct patients to the relevant and appropriate service that they require.

How will the new telephone triage system work?

When you call the surgery, the receptionist will ask you to provide your current contact number and a brief description of the issue to provide information to the GP who will call you back.
In some cases, the receptionist may advise an alternative service to you such as the Minor Eye Clinic or Care at the Chemist, where your issue could be dealt with more quickly than waiting to speak to the GP.
The triaging GP will contact you the same day to discuss your issue further.

In order to help with the success of the triage service, we ask that patients ensure that the contact details they give are correct and that they are available to speak to the GP.
