Clinics

We offer a wide range of primary care services and clinics as listed below. We aim to provide general medical services of the highest quality with the help of doctors that possess special skills in different clinical areas.

Antenatal Clinics

These clinics are run by Midwives on Wednesdays 09:00 – 12:00.

Baby Clinics

The health visitors are attached to the practice and provide advice for a variety of common problems. In addition to this the GPs provide child health surveillance checks. Immunisations are provided by the practice nurses.

Family Planning and Well-women Clinics

Run by the practice nurses to provide contraception, HRT checks, smears, emergency contraception and general health advice. The community family planning clinic is available at the Radcliffe Health Centre on Wednesday evenings between 18:00 – 20:00.

Monitoring Clinics

Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Heart disease, Chronic Kidney Disease and Hypertension Clinics

The practice nurses run these clinics on most days.

Nursing Care

The practice nurses offer treatments such as ear syringing and wound care.

New Patient Consultations

Every patient registering with the Radcliffe Medical practice will have the opportunity of a new patient consultation. The appointment gives you a chance to meet us, have your health checked and bring to light any ongoing medical problems or important past medical history.

Health Checks

The practice offers free NHS health checks for patients aged between 40 and 74yrs. Patients who are aged 75 yrs or above are also offered a health check for health screening.

Travel Advice and Vaccinations

The practice nursing team provides travel advice and vaccinations. Appointments should ideally be made 8 weeks before the departure date and we cannot promise to provide this service if you leave it to the last minute. We do not provide yellow fever vaccinations.

Minor Surgery

This clinic includes joint injections, wart freezing, skin tag removal and removal of small lumps and swellings.

Substance Misuse

This is provided in conjunction with a substance misuse worker attached to the practice.

Other Services

We have a range of diagnostic facilities including phlebotomy, ECG service, arhythmia watch, spirometry for lung problems and Doppler examinations.

Sexual Health Clinics
